The Incredible Plight of Children in the Central African Republic

IPHD began a program to prevent the trafficking of children in the Central African Republic (CAR) in October 2011.  While many children as young as 4 years of age are being exploited, there is little or no data about the problem in this country.  IPHD has set out to collect data and to establish a program to reduce child trafficking, commonly termed “child slavery”.  While collecting data from all of the regions of the Central African Republic, IPHD believes the following examples show how widespread the problem is and how difficult it will be to put an end to it.

Visit in Guinea-Bissau

During January 23-30, the President of IPHD paid a visit in Guinea-Bissau. The program of the visit included meetings with officials and authorities, visits to IPHD's projects and staff consultation.

Condolences

His Excellency Malam Bacai Sanhá, the President of Guinea-Bissau died on 9th of January. Mr. William Pruzensky, the President of IPHD visited the wife of the deceased President in order to present the condolences of the staff of IPHD.

Since 1983, the Leesburg based nonprofit International Partnership for Human Development has helped attain economic, social and cultural stability in poor countries all across the world.

Throughout the past 28 years, IPHD has provided aid to such countries as Congo, Guinea-Bisseau, Moldova, Mexico, Central African Republic, Republic of Guinea, Romania, El Salvador, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and others.
